My Muxtape (All Chick Power Hour: Songs by Birds But Not Birdsongs)
If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.

still contemplating jeffrey smart. still diggin the contemporary use of surrealist painters' tricks...still prefer magritte, but this is nice. he strikes me as an Australian answer to the US's Hopper. lots of traveling, waiting and solitude in the images.

Just discovered this artist by way of her current gallery show at Elizabeth Dee in New York. Her work is thoughtful, effective, political and engaging. Shades of Warhol's Mona Lisas in white. Minimalism and political consciousness and new media forms collide.
